Godspell not only spawned a new genre of comedy such as Second City in Toronto and Saturday Live in New York, but it also launched the career of comedic greats such as Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Mike Myers, Dave Thomas, Gilda Radner and Jayne Eastwood and musical mastermind, Paul Shaffer.
The movie included many interviews with the cast who formed a very strong bond because of the Godspell experience. They are still meeting to celebrate, over 50 years after the completion of the production! Following the showing of this excellent movie, Jayne Eastwood participated in an animated Question and Answer session. This is Jayne’s second such appearance at the Playhouse Theatre and truly the audience loved her!
