 ated in Mississauga ON.   Start2Finish Mission Statement Our mission is t
 o break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational suppor
 t to Canada’s at-risk children throughout their school years\, nuturing 
 mind\, body\, and social health so they are empowered to succeed and becom
 e role models for change. Speaker Bio Karen Warankie was born and raised i
 n Hamilton and has spent the last twenty one years working for Start2Finis
 h Canada\, as the Executive Assistant and now Fund Development Associate. 
 She supported the growth of the charity from a children’s festival in Ha
 milton in 2000 to now over eight core programs impacting thousands of chil
 dren in the city as well as 80 other equity-deserving communities across t
 he country. Through her current role\, she has helped raise millions of do
 llars to ensure that the most underserved Canadian children have the physi
 cal\, social-emotional and academic skills and competencies they need to s
 ucceed and THRIVE.   Karen has a Digital Marketing Management Certificate
  and has achieved her Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE)  status. 
 Along with her 20+ years of service work in Canada\, she has also visited 
 seven countries providing humanitarian aid to children and youth in orphan
 ages\, schools and villages in some of the neediest areas globally.
